Trumbull Senior Center

Trumbull Senior Center, located at 23 Priscilla Pl, in Trumbull, has expressed a mission to enrich the lives of older adults by offering programs and education that promote a healthy lifestyle, support independence, and enhance community engagement. It is considered to be a designated focal point where older adults and caregivers can access information, programs and services of interest in one place. Senior Helpers has collaborated with the Trumbull Senior Center on several terrific events, including the Mocktail Program which was a smash in March 2022 (see below). The Senior Center has a comprehensive website where individuals interested in their many services can browse to learn more.

Pequonnock River Trail

The Pequonnock River Trail runs from Bridgeport through Trumbull and Monroe along the Pequonnock River Valley, and, for Seniors, it stands apart from many other trails. The Pequonnock River Trail features a paved bike and pedestrian trail, making it a great place, not just to hike and bike, but to simply enjoy a leisurely walk.  Our COO, Tim Francis, has enjoyed the trail numerous times with his own family.

The Trumbull Historical Society

The Trumbull Historical Society was founded in 1964, and is located on 1856 Huntington Turnpike - the site of the first settlement in Trumbull by Abraham Nichols. The Society strives to teach, preserve, and educate those interested in the history of Trumbull itself. 

The Healing Touch Wellness Center

The Healing Touch Wellness Center, located at 5802 Main St, in Trumbull, specializes in therapeutic massage and bodywork performed by Connecticut and New York licensed Massage Therapists, who are a Reiki Master and Reiki practitioners. They offer our Seniors many types of massages, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Pregnancy, Reflexology and Reiki. When attending, it becomes a time for Seniors to be good to themselves, and relax!
