When providing Alzheimer’s and dementia services, our team creates a personalized in-home plan that meets the changing non-medical needs of those with a progressive disease such as Alzheimer’s. The Bigelow Senior Center

The Bigelow Senior Center provides services and programs for Seniors that, per their website, “… promote well-being, support independence and encourage involvement in community life.” Senior Helpers has collaborated with the Bigelow Senior Center on several terrific events, including the Mocktail Program which was a smash in September 2021.  More recently, our COO Tim Francis, with his expertise as a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, oversaw a Blood Pressure clinic there (see below). The Senior Center has a comprehensive website where individuals interested in their many services can browse to learn more.

Fairfield Museum and History Center

The Fairfield Museum and History Center is a 13,000 square-foot museum and library located at 370 Beach Road in Fairfield, Connecticut. This fantastic center includes a special collection research library and reading room, and a 80-seat theater overlooking Fairfield’s Town Green. The Special Collections Library and Reading Room that is said to include genealogy and family papers dating back to 1639. The center also offers  a Halloween Spooky Stroll around the Town Green campus.

Connecticut Audubon Society

The Connecticut Audubon Society of Fairfield, established in 1971, is a nature center and wildlife sanctuary in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield.  The Society features animals that are on display, natural history exhibits, a nature library, and even a solar greenhouse. Outside, on the grounds, are non-releasable rescued birds of prey, including owls, hawks, peregrine falcons, a turkey vulture and other raptors.
