Milford Senior Center

Milford Senior Center is one of Connecticut’s largest Senior Centers, and offers a vast number of services to the seniors in the community.   Senior Helpers has collaborated with the Milford Senior Center on several terrific events, including the Mocktail Program which was a smash in April 2022 (see below). By clicking here, those interested may take a look at the many activities offered there now.

Silver Sands State Park

Silver Sands State Park is beautiful state park. The beach itself is known to be kept clean by the town, and the trek out to Charles Island (during low tide) is an experience our Senior clients have been enjoying for years. Snack areas here have tables for people to sit and eat. Rest rooms are conveniently located and there is a shower facility. Many birds can be seen at the park. It is a wintering area for raptors such as the rough-legged hawk, the snowy owl and the short-eared owl.
