  • Acute vs Chronic Bronchitis

    February 8, 2022

Bronchitis is the name for a condition where the bronchial tubes, which are the tubes that carry air to your lungs, become inflamed and produce mucus. Other symptoms can also include wheezing, a whistling or squeaking sound when breathing, chest pain or discomfort, a low fever, and shortness of breath. Bronchitis comes in two main forms. Each path offers unique advantages and potential challenges, and the right answer depends on personal health needs, finances and lifestyle preferences. At Senior Helpers Boston and South Shore, we help families make informed decisions about the intersection of care needs and location to deliver compassionate support defined around their individual needs– whether your loved one chooses to stay at home or live in a care facility.
