About the Office
Senior Helpers of Grand Rapids is owned and operated by Joe Gugino, PT, DPT, MBA, a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Emily Gugino, OTR/L, a licensed Occupational Therapist. For years, we worked in clinical home health, supporting older adults and aging seniors in their homes. While we were proud to help patients recover and remain independent, we also saw a recurring challenge: many families struggled to find consistent and compassionate care beyond medical services.
That experience inspired us to open Senior Helpers of Grand Rapids. With our backgrounds in physical and occupational therapy, we understand the unique needs of seniors from mobility and safety to maintaining dignity and independence. We combined that knowledge with a team of professional caregivers, so seniors can receive reliable daily support shaped by a deep understanding of aging.
We are located at 4403 Cascade Road SE, Suite 5, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, near the I 96 Cascade exit (Exit 40), between First Community Bank and the peaceful grounds of Graceland Memorial Park.
