Meet the Lancaster County Office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can feel daunting. At Senior Helpers of Lancaster County, we believe that getting the best possible care for your loved ones should not be difficult or complicated.

Our History

Our History

We are Kent & Rebekah Terry, and we opened Senior Helpers Lancaster County office in 2012 because we saw a real need to help seniors with in-home care services. At the time, we were both frustrated by the lack of care options available for our grandparents. They were both veterans, but no one made them aware of or helped them receive the veteran care benefit options available. As a result, the care they received was not as good as it could have been. This experience motivated us to join Senior Helpers and serve the seniors and veterans in the Lancaster County region.

We take in-home care very seriously and nothing is more important to us than providing our clients with best possible care. We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through proprietary training and ongoing education programs. Today our team includes 7 office staff members and 50 caregivers. We are honored to serve the seniors in our community, and are dedicated to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care.

Our Extra-Effort

One of the things we do that is unique, is to place extra emphasis on the quality of the team members we hire.  We are proud to be the only home care agency in our area to be certified by the Caregiver Quality Assurance® (CQA) program. Companies that are members of the Caregiver Quality Assurance program use advanced screening tools as part of the pre-employment evaluation of all caregivers. This screening allows us to identify and hire the best possible applicants. We take this extra step to provide you with increased peace of mind about the quality of the caregivers selected to assist your loved one.

CQA Certified
Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, review our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods including any veteran benefits that may be available
  • Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan
