Senior Helpers Northwest Indiana has a special connection to the town of Highland, Indiana. Our owner, Mike Stuckert, was born and raised in Highland. Prior to graduating from Highland High School in 1988, he was awarded Times Athlete of the Year. Mike has deep roots within the community and enjoys being able to give back to the town that gave him so much.

It's important to help seniors stay social and active in their community. Therefore, we love helping our clients discover local activities focused towards accommodating seniors. Here are just few ideas to get you out and about in Highland!

More Activities to Enjoy in Highland, with Highland Parks & Recreation! 

  • Attend the Senior Meeting at the Lincoln Community Center, held on the second Thursday of each month at 1pm! Meetings consist of bingo, occasional guest speakers, and door prizes!

  • Try a senior fitness class at the Lincoln Community Center Aerobics Room. Highland Parks & Rec offers senior fitness programs as well as SilverSneakers programs! 

  • Enjoy some live music during the Summer Concert Series at Main Square Park every Saturday from 4pm-8pm.

  • Take a leisurely walk at Homestead Park, or at any other of the wonderful parks in Highland.

  • Attend a Craft Show and Vendor Fair at the Lincoln Center. Items for sale may include: candles, jewelry, clothing, handbags, handmade items, skin care, gourmet dips, direct sales vendors and much more!
