I wanted to take a moment and tell you how happy we are with Shavelle. As you know, it was a rough start because my parents did not want people coming into their home to help with mom. Shavelle stood strong though and has come to develop a good rapport with them. Dealing with Alzheimer’s is tough, and it breaks my heart. Mom has made some mean and derogatory comments to her but Shavelle remained steadfast and professional. My mother was never this way before and (her words) are definitely not a reflection on our family as a whole. I appreciate that my mom has opened up to her at times and even asked her to pray, and Shavelle did. I see that Shavelle has faith and her patience and understanding with my mom is so very much appreciated. She has mom up and about more and tries to interact with her. It just means so much that I can be comfortable and not worry about mom when Shavelle is there.
