The center is located within our Senior Helpers office right here in McKinney, and set up to mirror a client’s home, with a focus on the highest risks areas, such as the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen.

Welcome to the Senior Helpers Center of Excellence in McKinney

The Senior Helpers Center of Excellence in Caregiving is a small apartment built inside of our office which has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. It is a space where we can elevate our own caregivers' skills and knowledge and where we can also elevate the skills and knowledge of family caregivers and members of the community who assist the elderly.

The Center of Excellence in Caregiving is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience where attendees can participate in a wide range of trainings that touch on all areas of caregiving.  The training setting is a home, just like what many of our caregivers experience in the field. This will allow us to partner with additional local authorities on aging to offer training and resources for families and healthcare professionals on topics such as:

  • The Importance of Autonomy in Caregiving
  • Basic Caregiving Strategies
  • Senior GEMS Training for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers
  • Quality of Life as We Age
