Meet the McKinney office

More than 90% of seniors want to be able to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers McKinney we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We recognize the growing need for in-home care services, and with our passion for helping others, we are committed to delivering the best possible care to seniors in the McKinney community. 

We take the opportunity to provide care in your home seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs. Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. They realized most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand. Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers McKinney was proud to join the system in 2019. Like every other owner, we too are fully committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

  • Be hands-on in all aspects of care and to be here for you 24/7, 365 days a year. We will be here whenever you need us.
  • Never send a stranger. Having caregivers show up at our door without being properly introduced or prepared is difficult. With Senior Helpers, this will not happen. A proper introduction will always be made.
     
  • Focus on our caregivers and the care that they provide you. We train our caregivers in many areas, such as Dementia & Alzheimer’s (through our exclusive Senior Gems program based on the Gems™, techniques, strategies, and overall approach to care which was created and developed by Teepa Snow, Positive Approach, LLC) to ensure they provide the best care. Additionally, we communicate with our caregivers daily and treat them with utmost respect as they are our business

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  • Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Yvonne Adeuga

Director of Operations/Director of Client Care

Yvonne is the Director of Operations at Senior Helpers McKinney. Yvonne’s career began in service and client relations and spans over two decades. Her most recent responsibilities have allowed her to focus on managing and training others to provide the same level of client care that she expects of herself. Yvonne understands the needs of our clients having been a caregiver herself at an early age and being there firsthand with each of our clients and ensuring they have all of their needs met. Yvonne prides herself as shooting for the best, the best caregivers, the best quality care, and the best in the business in helping our seniors maintain their independence. Yvonne enjoys traveling, family gatherings, hallmark movies and spending time with her husband and two beautiful boys.

Veronica Jensen

Veronica Jensen

Office Manager

Veronica brings a solid background working within casework and community service.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Dallas and she previously worked with domestic violence victims and young adults with disabilities. She has also lived and worked overseas for many years during her time as a military wife. Veronica most recently left a career in international transportation in order to dedicate more time to her children and family. Her new role comes at a perfect time as her mother was recently diagnosed with Dementia. She is excited to be in an ideal role to gain more knowledge about services for seniors as she navigates her mother’s new diagnosis. In her spare time, Veronica enjoys volunteering with her local county animal shelter, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and two kids.
