Senior Helpers of Lafayette Gives Back Through Habitat for Humanity Women Build

The team at Senior Helpers of Lafayette recently had the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and give back to the community by participating in the Women Build project through Lafayette Habitat for Humanity—an inspiring initiative focused on empowering volunteers and expanding access to safe, affordable housing.

Women Build is an annual fundraising and volunteer program that brings together corporate teams, civic organizations, and community groups to make a meaningful impact on the local housing crisis. Participants contribute both financially and physically to help construct homes for families in the Lafayette community, helping turn the dream of homeownership into a reality.

As a proud sponsor of the event, Senior Helpers of Lafayette was honored to take part in the hands-on building efforts alongside other community volunteers. The day was filled with teamwork, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose as participants worked together to help build a safe and durable home for a local family.

For the Senior Helpers team, the experience represented more than just construction work—it was an opportunity to strengthen the community they serve every day.

“There’s something so powerful about women coming together to build not just walls, but stability, hope, and opportunity for another family,” shared the team. “We’re proud to serve a community that gives back in so many ways.”

At Senior Helpers, caring is at the heart of everything they do. While their daily work focuses on providing compassionate in-home care for seniors, their commitment extends beyond their clients to the broader Lafayette community. Participating in initiatives like Women Build allows the team to support neighbors in need and contribute to creating stronger, healthier communities for everyone.

Senior Helpers of Lafayette is grateful to Habitat for Humanity and all the volunteers who made the Women Build project such a meaningful and impactful experience.
