Senior Helpers of Lafayette Featured on KATC 3 News for “Santa's Senior Helpers”

Senior Helpers of Lafayette was recently featured in a local news story highlighting our commitment to supporting seniors during the holiday season—especially those experiencing loneliness. With nearly half of seniors reporting feelings of isolation during the holidays, our team works to ensure no one in the Lafayette community feels forgotten.

The feature spotlights Kevin Broussard, a local veteran who spent much of his life serving others, both in the military and as a long-haul truck driver. This year, our caregivers helped Kevin rediscover the joy of the season by spending time together, decorating his first Christmas tree in five years, baking cookies, and building a gingerbread house—simple moments that created meaningful holiday memories.

The segment also highlights the heart behind our mission: providing more than just non-medical care. During the holidays, our caregivers go the extra mile to offer companionship, connection, and a reminder that every senior deserves to feel valued and supported.
