Ernie Miller Nature Center

Hours 9AM – 4:30PM Sundays 12:30-4:30PM 

The park has an amphitheater, nature center, walking trails and hiking. Pets and bikes are prohibited on Ernie Miller Park trails. 

The NEW Outdoor amphitheater is offering Friday Night Nature Programs during summer for entertainment and educational experience from 7 to 7:45 pm $4 per person advanced registration required. 

Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Historic Site

Address: 1200 E Kansa City Rd, Olathe, KS 66061
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 AM – 4PM 

The Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm Historic Site, locally known as the Mahaffie farmstead, is located in Olathe, Kansas. The house was originally a stop along the Westport Route of the Santa Fe, Oregon, and California Trails, which originated in nearby Westport, Missouri. 

The historic site in Olathe offers:

  • Daily activities, special programs and events, and admission fees vary seasonally. 
  • Ride in our reproduction “Concord” style of coach or our original “mudwagon” style of stagecoach.
  • Living history programing are offered Saturdays in April, May, September, and October and daily on Wednesday thru Saturday, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Horses, sheep, chickens, and other era and breed-appropriate livestock live on the farm today just as they did in the 1860s and 1870s. Plan Your Visit today!

Kansas City Automotive Museum

The Kansas City Automotive Museum embraces the unique and diverse stories of Kansas City, while educating young and old, and celebrating the culture, artistry, industry and innovation of the automobile. Since opening, the Museum has become a recognized and popular establishment within the car community and has grown to be a meeting place for car enthusiasts, historians and visitors to Kansas City. The Museum rotates over 100 vehicles a year, and consistently showcases a collection of nearly 40 cars at any given time. In addition, the Museum hosts more than 30 community events throughout the year.
