Senior Gems®, a Program Dedicated to Helping Caregivers Provide Custom Care for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Patients

Senior Helpers is proud to introduce you to our revolutionary program, Senior Gems®. We use this method to provide custom support and care for your loved one, whether they’re just starting to show signs of dementia or if they need continuous care. Senior Gems® allows us to provide customized care rather than use a blanketed approach.

The Senior Gems® program makes it simple for our caregivers to adapt as diseases unfortunately progress. We’ll focus on creating a positive and purposeful life at home for your loved one using techniques developed by Teepa Snow, Positive Approach, LLC.

Our Senior Gems® classification system accomplishes the following:

• Identifies and separates characteristics of different stages in the disease
• Determines what a patient is still able to independently accomplish
• Uses proven strategies to develop a custom care plan based on a patient’s gem level
• Develops a long-term plan that can be adapted as needed
