Assistance Gifts Are Greatly Appreciated on Mother and Father's Day

Posted on May 13, 2019

Do you always give sweaters, blouses, shirts, candy, plants or a gift certificate to a restaurant on Mother or Father’s Day? If you do, it’s time for a new gift idea. Consider a gift certificate from Senior Helpers.

“You can give a gift of assistance to your mother, father or any relative you love,” said Director of Operations Mary O’Connor at the Senior Helpers Oak Brook Office. “There is a two-hour minimum, but it is not restrictive and can be used for any of our services,”

Senior Helpers provides caregivers and personal assistance for a wide variety of support services. They can help with everything from housekeeping (laundry, vacuuming and dusting, washing dishes, etc.) to personal care including bathing and dressing. In addition, they can assist with meal preparation, plant care, pets and transportation. If the senior wants help with their hobbies or gardening, the personal assistant can also do that. In fact, there are more than 50 types of support services a client may need.

“If someone has recently come home from the hospital or a rehab facility, Senior Helpers can help get them comfortable in their home,” added O’Connor.

Senior Helpers has qualified people who are able to help 24-hours a day, seven days a week if need be. The goal is to keep their clients safe and healthy as possible, including medicine reminders, walking assistance, personal hygiene assistance and diet monitoring.

If you are unsure what type of service to give your loved one, Senior Helpers can make suggestions and guide you.

Senior Helpers always offers a Free Assessment for your loved one. This will allow you to learn what help your loved one may truly need. Make an appointment today.
