Our Story

Stephanie has always been drawn to roles that allow her to connect with others, build relationships, and make a meaningful difference. Her love for community and being around people is at the heart of everything she does—both in business and in life.

The decision to open an in-home care business for seniors is deeply personal and shaped by the remarkable women who inspired her. Her mother, Bobbie, spent more than a decade selflessly caring for others—offering not only physical support but emotional companionship during their most vulnerable times. Bobbie wasn’t just a caregiver; she was a trusted friend and an extension of the families she served. Her immense heart created genuine, lasting bonds, and many of those she cared for became lifelong friends. It’s this spirit of heartfelt compassion, dedication, and authentic connection that Stephanie strives to carry forward through Senior Helpers of Waukesha.

Stephanie’s journey is also inspired by the enduring legacy of her grandmother, Sarah “Sally” Peterson—a third-generation member of the P.E.O., a devoted church volunteer, and a tireless outreach worker who helped refugees find homes and employment. Sally’s compassion and commitment to serving others left a lasting impression on Stephanie, shaping her core values and vision for providing care that goes beyond basic needs.

Witnessing the growing need for dependable, dignified care—especially as families juggle work, caregiving, and daily responsibilities—Stephanie felt called to be part of the solution. She believes every senior deserves the opportunity to age safely and joyfully at home, surrounded by familiarity, respect, and compassion.
