Services We Provide
Senior Helpers of Southern Utah offers a full range of non-medical, in-home services designed to support aging in place, however much or little help that means for your family.
- Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care, Senior Gems®: Our caregivers are trained in the exclusive Senior Gems program, developed with renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow. It's built around what your loved one can still do, not what they've lost.
- Parkinson’s Care Program: Created with experts from the Parkinson's Foundation's Center of Excellence, this is the first program of its kind in the in-home care industry, training caregivers to support changes in movement and cognition as they evolve.
- Companion Care
- Personal Care
- Return Home Transitional Care
- Veterans Care Services (VA Benefit Assistance): Many veteran families don't realize VA benefits can help cover the cost of in-home care services. We help qualifying veterans and spouses navigate that process.

About the Office
Senior Helpers of Southern Utah was opened in 2018 by Taysia Randall, out of a simple belief: seniors in this community deserved better care, closer to home. Today the office is owned and operated by Taysia, along with Andrew Egbert and Kade Prisbrey, all of them advocates for high-quality senior care, and all of them your neighbors.
Our caregivers and staff live right here in Southern Utah. We're also proud that Senior Helpers is the first national in-home care company certified as a Great Place to Work®, because caregivers who feel valued show up with more heart, and that shows in the care your family receives.

"I liked the way they came in and saw what needed to be done and just did it. I like the way they have been so flexible to match my times to my appointment to get me there on time. My caregiver is a great cook. She leaves me with a crock pot full of food. She helps me make my grocery list then goes and gets them for me. I just love her. She's like my right arm.”

Why Families Choose Professional In-Home Senior Care
Maintain Independence and Dignity
Choosing in home senior care allows older adults to live independently. They can stay in familiar surroundings, retaining a sense of dignity and autonomy. Professional home care services ensure they receive the necessary support without losing their treasured independence.
Stay Connected to Cherished Memories and Community
Home care services ensure seniors remain engaged with their community and cherished memories. Regular visits from family caregivers and professional home care workers facilitate meaningful interactions. These connections are critical for emotional and mental health.
Receive Personalized, One-on-One Attention
Senior helpers provide tailored care services. Family members and home care workers collaborate in crafting a personalized care plan that caters to the unique needs of elderly clients. With visiting angels, seniors receive focused, one-on-one assistance.
Avoid the High Costs and Stress of Nursing Home Placement
Home consultation highlights the financial benefits of in-home care services over nursing home placement. These services often result in smaller bills compared to long term facility care costs. Families find it easier to manage expenses while maintaining quality care for senior loved ones.
Comprehensive Care Services Tailored to Your Loved One's Unique Needs
Personal Care and Daily Living Assistance
Bathing, Grooming, and Dressing Support
Getting ready for the day can become difficult without help, and seniors may feel embarrassed about asking for assistance. Our caregivers assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming with patience and respect, so your loved one can feel like themselves.
Medication Reminders and Management
Missed or doubled-up doses are a real risk for seniors managing multiple prescriptions. Caregivers provide timely reminders to help keep your loved one on track with the medication schedule their doctor has set.
Mobility Assistance and Fall Prevention
A fall at home is one of the fears that keeps families up at night. Our caregivers help seniors move safely around their home, reducing risk and giving everyone more peace of mind.
Household Management and Companionship
Light Housekeeping and Meal Preparation
A tidy home and a home-cooked meal go a long way. Caregivers help with light housekeeping and prepare nutritious meals, sometimes even leaving a little extra in the fridge for later.
Transportation to Appointments and Errands
Whether it's a doctor's visit, the grocery store, or a friend's birthday lunch, caregivers provide safe transportation so your loved one stays connected and independent.
Social Interaction and Emotional Support
Emotionally supportive interactions are part of comprehensive in-home senior care. Isolation is one of the quieter risks of aging alone. Our caregivers offer real conversation and companionship, not just a task list, because connection is part of care too.
Support for Recovery and Chronic Conditions
Return Home Transitional Care
Coming home after a hospital or rehab stay can be overwhelming. Our caregivers help bridge that gap, providing steady support during the first days and weeks back home so recovery goes more smoothly.
Living Well with Chronic Conditions
For seniors managing chronic conditions, our caregivers provide consistent, non-medical support: helping with daily routines, watching for changes, and keeping family members informed, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Keeping Your Family in the Loop
We know how important communication is when you can't be there yourself. Caregivers keep families updated on how their loved one is doing, so you're never left wondering.
Certified, Compassionate Caregivers
Thoroughly Screened and Background-Checked
Every caregiver undergoes a thorough background check before joining our team, because you should never have to wonder who's walking through your parent's front door.
Ongoing Training in Senior Care Best Practices
Our caregivers receive continued training, including in specialized programs like Senior Gems and our Parkinson's Care Program, so care keeps pace with your loved one's changing needs.
Matched to Your Family's Needs
We take the time to match caregivers to your family's personality, preferences, and schedule, not just assign whoever's available.
Flexible Scheduling, From a Few Hours to 24/7
Whether your loved one needs a few hours of companionship each week or around-the-clock support, our scheduling flexes to meet you where you are.
Take the First Step Toward Peace of Mind for Your Family
Free In-Home Consultation and Care Assessment
We start with a free, no-pressure conversation in your loved one's home. Together, we'll talk through their needs and build a care plan that actually fits, not a generic package.
Flexible Payment Options, Including VA Benefits
We know cost is often the first worry. We'll walk you through payment options, including VA Benefit Assistance for qualifying veterans and spouses, a resource many families don't realize is available to them.
Start Care Within 48 Hours
When you're ready, we can typically have care in place within 48 hours, because peace of mind shouldn't have to wait.
24/7 Family Support and Communication
Questions don't keep office hours, and neither do we. Our team is available around the clock to answer questions and keep you updated on your loved one's care.
FAQs
What is the difference between home care and nursing homes?
Non-medical home care allows seniors to receive personal support and companionship in their own home, preserving independence and routine. Nursing homes provide 24/7 skilled medical care in a residential facility, a different level of care, for different needs.
How do I choose a home care agency I can trust?
Look for an agency with background-checked, trained caregivers, a strong community reputation, and honest family reviews. A locally owned agency with named, accessible owners, not just a call center, is worth asking about directly.
What affects the cost of in-home care?
Cost depends mostly on the level of care needed and how many hours of support are involved. We also help qualifying veteran families explore VA Benefit Assistance, which can offset costs many people don't know are covered.
How do I know if my parent needs help at home?
Common signs include missed medications, a messier home than usual, weight loss, isolation, or a fall (even a minor one). If something feels different, it's worth a conversation, with them, and with us.
