How to Find Local Drivable Holiday Lights Displays for the Whole Family

Texas has among the biggest and best Christmas lights displays in the United States. Some of the exhibits include Dallas-Fort Worth, with several lovely holiday displays. So if you are looking for amazing Christmas lights displays for the entire family, load up your car, grab enough snacks and enjoy the holiday lighting displays in the greater Dallas and nearby areas.

  • Addison: Vitruvian Park Lights

During Christmas, the 19-acre Vitruvian Park is decorated with sparkling LED lights, creating a spectacular display of over 500 glittering trees. Entry into the park and parking is free every night from 5 pm to 10 pm during the holiday season.  

  • Arlington: Interlochen Lights Display

This is one of the most amazing Christmas lighting displays in North Texas. It involves more than 200 Arlington neighbors who decorate their homes and lawns with Christmas lights and various holiday-themed displays for the Interlochen Lights Display.

  • Christmas in the Square

In collaboration with the City of Frisco, the Frisco Square Property Owners Association organizes the biggest orchestrated Christmas holiday lights and music show in North Texas. Christmas in the Square is free and open every day from 6 pm to 10 pm until January 3, 2023.

  • Highland Park

For many years, a visit through the magnificent lights and homes of Highland Park remains a great Christmas holiday tradition. It is free to drive through the park, and carriage rides are available at a fee. The best places to see the displayed lights are along the Tollway, Mockingbird Lane, Preston Road, and Armstrong Parkway.

  • The Allen Movie House

This display presents all the great Christmas movie classics in one location. The show lasts 7 minutes and features over 8,000 lights and all of your famous phrases from Buddy, Clark, Ralphie, and other characters. It is ideal for all family members and is free from 5.30 pm to 11 pm until mid-January.

  • The Colony Christmas Spectacular  

This is set to music and can be seen every evening during this season, starting at sunset. To listen to music, turn on the radio to 99.9 FM. This is a good way for the elderly to enjoy good Christmas music to keep them in the holiday mood.

  • Homes in Flower

To bring the Christmas Mood right at home, the homes in Highland Village, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Lantana, Lakewood area, and others have lighting displays on trees to brighten the season, even for elderly parents who may not make it to the big parks.
