March Community Recap

March was a meaningful month for Senior Helpers of Waxhaw–Monroe as we continued our commitment to supporting older adults and families throughout Union, Cabarrus, Rowan, and Stanly counties.

Through local events and community engagement, we connected with seniors, caregivers, and community partners while sharing resources that support safe and independent living at home.

Active Living & Wellness Expo – Cabarrus County

Senior Helpers was proud to participate in the 2026 Active Living & Wellness Expo in Cabarrus County. A highlight of the event was a presentation by Supriya titled “Safe at Home Using Technology,” which focused on practical ways technology can improve home safety, reduce fall risks, support medication routines, and help seniors stay connected.

United Senior Games – Monroe, NC

We were also honored to sponsor the United Senior Games in Monroe. As part of our sponsorship, we provided meals for participants and supported an event that promotes active aging, wellness, and community connection.

Beacon of Hope for ALS – Charlotte

Senior Helpers was proud to participate in the 2026 Beacon of Hope for ALS held in Charlotte. It was a great resource for caregivers for ALS families

Connecting With Families

At both events, we spoke with families about safety at home, recovery after surgery or hospitalization, dementia care, transportation needs, and knowing when to bring in help.

Looking Ahead

We are grateful to be part of such a strong community and look forward to continuing to support seniors across Union, Cabarrus, Rowan, and Stanly counties.
