Senior Helpers Proudly Supports the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Asheville and Henderson County

Senior Helpers of Asheville was proud to sponsor and participate in this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, held on a beautiful Saturday morning in Western North Carolina. The event brought together more than 350 participants—caregivers, families, community members, and local organizations—all united in the fight for a world without Alzheimer’s.

We were touched to receive a heartfelt message from our local Walk representative, who shared her gratitude for our support and participation:

“I cannot begin to thank you enough for your support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Asheville/Henderson County! Personally, I thought it was a beautiful day on Saturday, and you were a huge part of that! … Together, fighting for a world without Alzheimer’s, Asheville and Henderson County raised over $120,000! THANK YOU!”

As a first-year combined walk for the Asheville and Henderson County communities, the event was a tremendous success. We were inspired by the incredible caregivers and families who came out to share their stories and by the sense of unity that filled the day.

At Senior Helpers, we are deeply committed to supporting those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as the dedicated caregivers who care for them every day. Participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is just one of the ways we continue to advocate, raise awareness, and give back to our community.

We’re grateful to the Alzheimer’s Association for organizing such a meaningful event and to everyone who joined us in making an impact. We look forward to walking together again next year—stronger than ever—in support of this cause.
