Meet the Westford Office

More than 90 percent of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting. At Senior Helpers of Westford we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated. Our mission is to help others by providing exceptional In-Home care services to the communities we serve. Our team is committed to remaining at the forefront of the In-Home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers of Westford is co-owned by Brian & Cindy Eller. The Eller’s decided to enter the In-Home Care business after experiencing the difficulties of finding professional, experienced and compassionate caregivers for their parents. Our operation, started by the DiGiorgios’s, has been providing premier home care agency services for over a decade with an exceptional team of care professionals who make it a priority to provide the highest level of client services.

Our Westford office proudly serves communities in and around northwestern Middlesex County including Acton, Ayer, Bedford, Billerica, Boxborough, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Devens, Dracut, Dunstable, Groton, Hanscom AFB, Harvard, Lincoln, Littleton, Lowell, North Chelmsford, North Billerica, Pepperell, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford.

Our process and what we will cover at the complimentary assessment

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment.  The assessment helps you identify the true needs of your loved one and understand your options.

We will discuss your family’s goals, your loved one’s specific daily plan and schedule, pricing and payment methods, implementation process, on-going communication and follow-up plan.

We discuss your loved one’s needs, review our senior care services and determine what is best for your entire family – TOGETHER.

  • Never a stranger at your door

In our experience, one of the most difficult aspects of being the client of a home care agency is having caregivers show up at your home without being properly introduced or prepared, or in the case of having a substitute, not getting advance notification of a change — then dealing with a poorly prepared fill-in that can’t provide appropriate care.

With Senior Helpers a proper introduction and review of our care plan will always be made by one of our office staff.

  • Caregivers are supervised employees, not independent contractors

We are not a referral service or "nurse registry," where workers are assigned to cases, leaving families to sort through the fine points themselves such as, who is to pay taxes, unemployment insurance and workers compensation; perform background and reference checks; and whether caregivers are bonded and insured.

This means that Senior Helpers pays caregiver taxes, provides unemployment insurance and workers compensation; performs full background and reference checks; and insures the caregivers are bonded and insured.  Senior Helpers also tests caregiving skills, verifies credentials and reviews driver license history for safety.

Using Senior Helpers means professional, safe and reliable home care services for your loved one

  • Nurse and Social Worker support

Senior Helpers of Westford employs Nurse oversight and a Licensed Social Worker to oversee all clients, conduct assessments, develop written Client Care Plans, perform follow-up visits and consult with clients and their families.

Senior Helpers Nurse and Social Worker oversight provides skilled knowledgeable client services and better quality of care.

  • Affordable options

As you start to explore the full continuum of care options for your loved one, it becomes obvious that elder care can be costly. We have the experience, knowledge and local partners to assist you in obtaining Veterans Administration benefits, Reverse Mortgages and Life Insurance conversions to pay for In-Home Care. We can also work with your Long Term Care Insurance provider to facilitate the submission and claims process for In-Home Care services.

Senior Helpers has local partnerships to help with financial support

  • Always speak to “live person” when you call

Senior Helpers of Westford understands that when your family needs assistance caring for a loved one, you don’t want to leave a message on a recorded line or talk with an answering service.

We don't use telephone answering machines or a message center. When you call our office you will always get a Senior Helpers of Westford employee that will be able to answer your questions or, very quickly return your call and provide the requested information.

Senior Helpers is responsive, dependable and personalized.

  • Senior Helpers’ commitment to continuous improvement

One way we demonstrate to families that we are the best choice for in-home care in the greater Westford area is by arranging for Listen360, an independent research company, to randomly survey our clients. Our client reviews are listed here on our website.

Also, Senior Helpers is accredited by The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, a distinction that fewer than 25% of home care companies in our state have earned.  The standards to which we are held by HCA of MA focus more effort on quality improvement, ethical business standards, and superior employment practices. The goal of these standards is to ensure that our clients receive safe, competent, quality, and respectful home care services.

Senior Helpers is committed to providing the best quality of care for your loved one.
