Meet the Evanston-Wilmette office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting. At Senior Helpers in Evanston-Wilmette we believe getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated. Jonathan Wishnick opened the Senior Helpers Evanston-Wilmette office in 2009 because of his passion for helping others and his interest in the growing need for in-home care services. We are committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in Evanston, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Skokie and Morton Grove.

We take in-home care very seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible. Over the past 10 years we have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers in Evanston-Wilmette and Senior Helpers of Chicago were founded in 2009 by Jonathan Wishnick after his firsthand experience in caring for his mother, father, and grandmother. Jonathan identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. He realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers in Evanston.

Jonathan remains continually and fully-committed to his and our organization’s goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

Our team has grown to include 9 managerial  team members, and 100 or more caregivers. We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Evanston-Wilmette Team

Jonathan Wishnick

Jonathan Wishnick

Owner

Jonathan opened Senior Helpers of Chicago and Senior Helpers in Evanston so people who need assistance would get well trained, well managed, and smart assistants, and as a tribute to his mother. Jonathan’s mother, Maxine, had multiple health issues (heart attacks, stroke, Emphysema, and the loss of movement of her left shoulder due to an auto accident), yet she led a very full life. At many times over the last 15 years of her life she needed assistance and eventually Jonathan decided to open Senior Helpers. Jonathan makes sure we treat every Client with the same respect and care as Maxine would have expected and deserved.

Grace applies her experience, patience and passion to team building and positive enforcement that drives everyone who makes up the amazing caregiving and office team. When she isn’t manning the office, you will find Grace chasing after her toddler daughter who loves to visit the Senior Helpers office.

I used to work for this company before I moved to a different state. I was always happy with management and the clients they gave me. They were always willing to work with my schedule which I appreciated because I was quite difficult. Even up to my last day, they have provided a happy, professional working environment. :)
