The Edith Farnsworth House is a historical house designed and constructed by the famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe after World War II. It was constructed as a one-room weekend retreat in Plano, Illinois just west of Yorkville. Tickets required.

Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area

Almost 1,500 acres of nature preservation and restoration located just west of Yorkville on the Fox River. Enjoy a view of the famous Farnsworth House, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, on the other side of the Fox River.
