Time Out

By Sheree Ellingson

Okay, I know, you are really getting into these “Hmmmm moments” however; I want to talk about a different subject this week. More “Hmmm moments” in next blog.

I am always on the look out for alternative methods, ideas, medications, medical equipment, etcetera for any type of diagnosed conditions. Approximately five years ago, I was learning about Parkinson’s (remarkably interesting disease). I have a friend Michele who had told me on several occasions that she could not smell anything. Michele said the doctors said, “That’s happens sometimes, no big deal.” After taking these classes, I found out one of the first possible signs of Parkinson’s is losing the sense of smell; up to 10 years prior to any other signs. I asked Michele to get evaluated for Parkinson’s. Six months later Michele was evaluated and found out she has Parkinson’s. Let me be clear, I would never wish this disease on anyone, but knowledge is power; if Michele had found out earlier, she may have been better equipped to manage what the possibilities for her life in the future will be. Please also understand, this lack of smell as a first indicator is pre-Covid. I do not want anyone to assume they have Parkinson’s now if they never got the sense of smell back after getting Covid.

Approximately six months ago, Michele told me she had been researching alternative methods to control her Parkinson’s. She decided to go to Columbia, South America for a stem cell infusion. I was so excited for her but at the same time extremely nervous for her. I had stem cell injections in my knees back in 2015 with immense success when all the doctors were saying I needed to have knee replacement surgery so I not nervous about the infusion but about her going to South America.

I am incredibly happy to say, Michele is doing wonderfully after having the stem cell infusion. She had an online seminar on this procedure and the difference it has made in her life. I got permission from Michele to load up her online seminar onto this bog for everyone can hear her story. What Michele tried to explain, and show is how much Parkinson’s had diminished her life; I think you will only get a small glimpse of how much had been stolen from her before she had the stem cell infusion. Please watch and if you have any questions, contact Michele or the phone number on the online seminar and talk to the person in South America. Here is the link:
