Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe and Live In Senior Care

The time of year for creating and honoring New Year’s Resolutions is upon us.  The promises we make to ourselves to better our bodies and our minds need to be based on lifestyle changes and not drastic measures.  Creating extremely difficult goals can be intimidating and discouraging, so it’s best to make small steps.  Even a little change can go a long way.

When it comes to eating healthier, it doesn’t have to mean eliminating everything that tastes great.   It simply means to lower saturated fats, eat leaner meats and greener vegetables.  The more whole foods we can incorporate into our diets, the better.  One example of an easy way to add more vegetables to foods in a way that is not obvious is to blend it into foods we already enjoy.  One delicious and healthy recipe is the Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe.  This can be looked up online and there are some variations in the recipe.  Here is a general recipe to get healthy eating started:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
  2. Break cauliflower florets into small pieces and remove stems and blend in a food processor into small bits (steaming the cauliflower, draining on a paper towel until cool is an alternative)
  3. Measure out 2 ½ cups of cauliflower bits into a bowl and sprinkle salt, onion powder, oregano, garlic powder, salt, mozzarella cheese, and 2 eggs.  Stir together until mixed
  4. Form dough into a ball and use parchment paper to press out into a 12 inch round crust
  5. Bake on a sheet pan for 25 minutes
  6. Add toppings, cheese, and sauce and cook on Broil for about 8 minutes or until cheese is melted

This recipe is easy to create, delicious, and the healthy part of the meal is likely to be undetectable by most!  Why not give this a try for tonight’s dinner?
