Senior Helpers Opens Doors in Santa Monica!

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 31, 2022)—Senior Helpers®, one of the nation’s premier providers of personalized in-home senior care, today announced the official opening of its Santa Monica location, to be managed and operated by Daryl Arcinas and Brandon Clores. The new franchise will serve senior citizens and their families throughout the western Los Angeles County, which includes Santa Monica, Culver City, Marina Del Ray and more, and it hopes to bring upwards of 75 new jobs to the region over the next year. Senior Helpers’ professionally trained caregivers will help local seniors continue to enjoy the comfort of their own home despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges.

“I have always been very passionate about helping others, whether that be financially or emotionally, and knew joining the Senior Helpers family was the next step on my journey of assisting those within my local community,” said Clores. “Growing up in a household and family with a history in the medical field, I learned of the importance of quality service and care. Knowing that Senior Helpers is the first in the industry to provide specialized caregiver training in Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s disease care, I’m excited to provide a valuable resource to our community that will help to alleviate the stress associated with caregiving.”

“The idea of family is a large reason why I wanted to work in the senior care industry and also why I do what I do every day,” said Arcinas. “Having worked as a registered nurse for the last 11 years, this idea of family extends to patients and their loved ones. After caring for COVID-19 patients in New York City during the height of the pandemic and seeing how families struggled to care for their loved ones of all ages, I wanted to invest in public health and our communities—and this influenced my decision to pursue a career in home care. It’s a priority of mine to assist our cherished elderly and their families so that they can focus on the things that bring them joy, improve their quality of life and age gracefully from the comfort of their own homes.”

Prior to working at Senior Helpers, Arcinas held several upper management roles at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York City. For over a decade, he provided nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical and critical care units, and was part of the COVID-19 rapid response team.

Senior Helpers operates with a vision to be the leading home care company in each community it serves. Its caregivers in Santa Monica are trained to offer the highest level of care possible based on the company’s Senior Gems® Alzheimer’s and Dementia care program. As the gold standard for excellence in personalized in-home senior care, the program was developed in conjunction with nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow, Positive Approach, LLC. Local residents will also benefit from the company’s Parkinson’s Care Program, a specialized training program for their caregivers created in conjunction with leading experts from the Parkinson’s Foundation’s Centers of Excellence network.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Daryl and Brandon to our team as the newest Senior Helpers franchise owners,” said Peter Ross, chief executive officer, Senior Helpers. “We know that Brandon’s business experience, combined with Daryl’s medical work, will contribute greatly to the success of this new location and will be rewarding for the seniors and families living in Santa Monica and the surrounding area.”
