We are proud to recognize Heather Weitemier as our February Caregiver of the Month for the Mesa and Scottsdale area!

Heather joined the Senior Helpers team in November 2025, and in just a few short months, she has already made a meaningful impact on the lives of the seniors she serves. Her heart for caregiving and her genuine compassion truly reflect the values we stand for in providing high-quality in-home senior care in Mesa and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Heather shares that what she loves most about being a caregiver is the opportunity to help others. She finds deep fulfillment in supporting seniors with their daily needs while also taking the time to truly listen. Heather believes there is so much wisdom to be gained from the older generation, and she values every opportunity to learn from her elders’ life experiences and stories.

Teresa Salazar

Teresa has been a dedicated caregiver since 2010, when she first began working with individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. From the very beginning of her caregiving journey, she felt a deep connection to her clients and quickly realized that providing dementia and Alzheimer’s care was more than just a job — it was her calling. Supporting individuals through memory loss with patience, compassion, and dignity has remained at the heart of her work ever since.

After spending her entire life in Texas, Teresa and her family decided to make a big move to Arizona. Since relocating, she has truly fallen in love with the community and the opportunity to continue her caregiving career here. She brings with her over a decade of hands-on experience in senior care, along with a strong commitment to helping older adults live safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Teresa shares that being part of the Senior Helpers team has been incredibly meaningful to her. She values the supportive environment, the teamwork, and the shared dedication to high-quality in-home care. Whether she is assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, or supporting clients with memory-related challenges, Teresa consistently gives 150% in everything she does.

Her compassion, reliability, and genuine love for caregiving make her an exceptional caregiver and a trusted presence for the seniors and families she serves.
