You can feel confident that your loved one is in good hands with Senior Helpers.

Our History

Senior Helpers of Virginia Beach was founded by U.S. Navy veteran Angela Morales, whose path to caregiving began in a deeply personal way when her mother and sister moved into her home three years ago. Overnight, she found herself balancing her own life with the responsibilities of caring for loved ones—an experience that gave her a firsthand understanding of both the challenges and the profound rewards of caregiving. Through conversations with friends, she discovered that many were facing similar situations, whether rearranging their schedules to care for parents nearby or worrying about loved ones from afar.

Determined to make a difference, Angela chose to open Senior Helpers of Virginia Beach as a way to combine her dedication to service with her compassion for others. Her mission is to provide dependable, personalized in-home care that helps seniors live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in the place they love most—their own homes. She is especially passionate about serving and honoring the veterans of Virginia Beach, ensuring they receive the respect and care they deserve.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Virginia Beach Team

Angela Morales

Angela Morales

Owner

Angela Morales is a proud Navy veteran, devoted mother, and the owner of Senior Helpers of Virginia Beach. Originally from New York, she fell in love with Virginia Beach when the Navy brought her here, and she has called it home ever since. She finds great joy in knowing her work can brighten someone’s day—whether it’s through a meaningful conversation, completing a puzzle, or helping a senior return home from the hospital with comfort and dignity.

Family is at the heart of Angela’s life. Her son, Donald, is her greatest blessing, and her mother keeps her on her toes. She is passionate about balanced nutrition, mindful cooking, and staying hydrated (she’s known for always offering visitors a bottle of water). She enjoys mowing her lawn, walking in the fresh air, baking, trying new recipes, and tending her garden—while watching the butterflies, dragonflies, and hummingbirds that visit.

Angela is also deeply committed to her community. She serves as the Holiday Food Basket Lead at Church of Ascension, coordinating 100 volunteers to prepare baskets for families in need during Christmas and Easter, and recently began assisting with food collection for World Food Day.

Her years in the Navy instilled resilience, gratitude, and a strong sense of service—qualities she brings every day to Senior Helpers of Virginia Beach. For Angela, it’s not just about providing care; it’s about ensuring every senior feels valued, supported, and able to live life to the fullest in the place they call home.

Cindy Norman

RN

Cindy Norman has always wanted to be a nurse. Her grandmother was a very prominent RN at Norfolk General and DePaul Hospital, and she has had other family members who worked in the medical arena—pharmacists, radiologists, and nurse anesthetists.

Just as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz said, “there’s no place like home,” what Cindy loves about home health is the fact that she is trying to keep individuals safe, happy, and secure in their homes. She enjoys formulating the best care plan for patients and families to meet their needs in a safe and caring environment. Companion and personal care plans make the families happy. It is of the utmost importance to her that caregivers understand and utilize the care plan.

After decades of nursing, Cindy has seen more than her share of inadequate care. She made a promise to the Good Lord and herself that she would do her best to help the patient and family find support to age safely and successfully in their own residence.

She finds great enjoyment when she can identify what areas of assistance and support are needed. Reducing a patient's chances of returning to the hospital along with improving their quality of life is her goal. Cindy took care of her mother, who was a well-known track star in the area. After her mother died of pulmonary fibrosis, Cindy realized that she had a gift that she needed to share. She couldn’t be in any other career and truly loves her job.

Cindy has a calling and a duty to her clients and their families, which is very important to her. She wants to be part of a great team so she can deliver the best care possible. She is looking forward to meeting and working with you!

I want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the superb work Diane did for Dad while he was in the hospital. She was punctual, personable, and dedicated. She helped my Dad immensely during a difficult time for him. Her calm manner and brilliant smile worked magic. My Dad’s attitude changed completely for the better after her first visit. Thank you so much for giving us Diane. She really is a remarkable person and very caring.
