Meet the West Houston office

More than 90% of seniors want to be able to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers of West Houston we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We recognize the growing need for in-home care services, and with our passion for helping others, we are committed to delivering the best possible care to seniors in the Houston community.

We take the opportunity to provide care in your home seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs. You can feel confident that your loved one is in good hands with Senior Helpers.

Our History

Senior Helpers of West Houston was founded by Fatema Ebrahim and Ali Sharif, a husband-and-wife team driven by both professional experience and personal passion. Their commitment was shaped by firsthand experience with family caregiving—an experience that made them realize how difficult and lonely the journey can feel without proper guidance and help.

Together, they established Senior Helpers of West Houston to provide more than just in-home care- they set out to build a purpose-driven organization that prioritizes dignity, independence, and peace of mind for seniors and their families. Their vision is to offer high-quality, dependable care delivered by a team of professionals who genuinely care. For Fatema and Ali, this work is deeply personal, and every decision is guided by a shared commitment to improving lives and making a meaningful impact, one family at a time.

Their passion for service is rooted in family values and inspired by Fatema’s late father, who was known in his community as someone you could always count on. That legacy continues today through their dedication to kindness, empathy, and active community involvement. Whether it’s organizing local volunteer events, visiting senior centers with their three children, or supporting underserved families across Houston, Fatema and Ali are proud to lead a business that reflects who they are and what they stand for.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the West Houston Team

Fatema Ebrahim

Fatema Ebrahim

Co-Owner and CEO

Raised in Dubai, Fatema brings over 15 years of experience in event management, public relations, and marketing within the pharmaceutical industry across the Middle East. She holds an MBA in Business Administration and has built her career around impactful healthcare communications, with a focus on engaging healthcare professionals and supporting patient initiatives. Her passion for service also extends beyond the workplace—Fatema has been actively involved in volunteer work supporting refugees and underprivileged communities.

Fatema’s journey into senior care is rooted in personal experience. She witnessed the emotional and physical toll of caregiving when her father battled cancer and her mother became his primary caregiver, all while managing her own health challenges. From driving her father to chemotherapy appointments to overseeing his recovery at home, her mother’s struggle revealed the overwhelming gaps in accessible, compassionate senior support.

After losing her father in 2023 and relocating to Houston in 2024, Fatema felt a deep calling to honor his memory. Launching Senior Helpers of West Houston allowed her to blend her professional expertise with her personal mission—to ensure that seniors, especially those without strong family support, can age with dignity, comfort, and the compassionate care they deserve in the place they call home.

Ali Sharif

Ali Sharif

Owner & Chairman

With over 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing across the Middle East, Ali Sharif brings a wealth of strategic insight and community engagement expertise to Senior Helpers of West Houston. Throughout his career, Ali has been actively involved in various voluntary initiatives, driven by a deep commitment to service and a belief that strong communities are built through compassion and collaboration.

Ali’s passion for senior care stems from his own personal journey. After losing his father to a heart attack and stepping in as the primary caregiver for his mother, he experienced firsthand the challenges and emotional toll families face when caring for aging loved ones. This experience solidified his purpose: to advocate for better care and support for seniors.

At Senior Helpers of West Houston, Ali is dedicated to building meaningful partnerships with healthcare systems, providers, caregivers, and families to ensure seniors receive the dignity, care, and quality of life they deserve. He believes that through collective effort and empathy, we can create a lasting impact in the lives of the elderly in our community.
