Our Center of Excellence Is Now Open!
Empowering Care, Inspiring Confidence, and Strengthening Our Community
At Senior Helpers of East Columbia, we’ve always believed that care goes beyond assistance — it’s about compassion, education, and empowering families to navigate aging with confidence and dignity. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the opening of our Center of Excellence (COE) — a space designed to nurture knowledge, connection, and excellence in home care.
Our new Center of Excellence is more than just a training center — it’s a hub of learning and support for our Care Professionals, family caregivers, and community members who want to better understand the world of senior care. Here, we bring together hands-on workshops, dementia care simulations, and interactive sessions that allow both professionals and families to learn practical ways to improve daily life for older adults.
A Learning Space for Future Nurses and Family Caregivers
We’re proud to open our doors to the nursing students of Columbia International University (CIU). These future healthcare leaders are gaining firsthand experience in what compassionate, person-centered care truly looks like. They’re learning not only the technical skills of caregiving but also the heart behind it — patience, respect, and understanding.
Through real-world training and mentorship from our experienced team, the CIU nursing students are witnessing the difference that genuine connection makes in a client’s life. Partnerships like this allow us to continue setting the standard for quality home care in the East Columbia area and beyond.
