Winter Lights at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art

Illuminated structures and interactive features are the highlights of The Westmoreland Museum of American Art's Winter Lights at 221 N Main Street, Greensburg. Holiday Movie: I Heard the Bells

I Heard the Bells is playing at GQT Pittsburgh Mills Cinemas at 590 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Tarentum. It tells the true story behind the beloved Christmas carol and its author, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. In this Sight & Sound Films debut feature, the idyllic life of America's Poet is shattered by tragedy, and he puts down his pen. The sound of Christmas morning reignites his lost voice as he discovers the resounding hope of rekindled faith.

Admission for seniors is $6.50.

Indian Classical Dance

The Academy for Creative Aging offers free Indian dance lessons that can be practiced in any open space at the participant's own pace. Using hand gestures and body positions from Bharatanatyam, an ancient classical dance style that originated in the temples of Southern India, dancers learn to use their bodies and minds to improve flexibility, dexterity, and mobility. The program enables participants to exercise creatively while learning this dancing style's cultural significance.

It’s free on demand online.
