Senior Helpers Metairie Attends Imagine Christmas Event at Hosanna Church

I attended the Imagine Christmas event at Hosanna church on December 22nd.  It was wonderful seeing the kids smile. Participating in this event reminded me of a reading "Mission Possible by James Banks" in a booklet entitled "Celebrating Jesus."  

"Christmas brings a fresh awareness of God's kindness and generosity to us through His Son.  In Proverbs, Solomon wrote, "those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." 

All the volunteers at Imagine Christmas were all refreshed by a renewed understanding of how God had met our greatest need of all - our need of a Savior- and how His love can unexpectedly overflow from our hearts to others in need.  Kindness is contagious! Because of what Jesus has done for us, may God give us grace to make a generous, practical difference in others' lives.  Prayer: "Thank You, Father for seeing my need and sending Your Son. Please help me to act on Your love by generously helping others. Amen! "
