Senior Helpers of Tucson was Featured on KGUN9 News
Caring for someone with dementia can be emotionally and financially challenging, with respite care costs in Tucson ranging from $4,000 to $11,000 per month. A new federal initiative, GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience), launched on July 1, offers respite care benefits to Medicare beneficiaries, covering up to 80 hours of in-home care. This program provides relief for caregivers, particularly in Arizona, where Alzheimer's cases are rapidly increasing. Senior Helpers professionals, like registered nurse Ashley Zachariah and liaison Mark Goldstein, highlight the benefits of trained caregivers and therapies to manage dementia symptoms and ease caregiver stress. Senior Helpers is also sponsoring the Walk To End Alzheimer's in October to raise funds for research. Click below to learn more!
