My wife, Leann, and I started Senior Helpers® of South Palm Beach in 2007. We have both watched our grandparents grow older and run into difficult situations. I watched as my grandparents brought in a home care company to help with my grandmother and had terrible results. The caregivers stole from them, smoked in their bathroom, and a laundry list of other complaints my parents had prior to getting them removed.
Leann and I started this company because we truly believe that, with care and hard work, you can place caring and compassionate people into positions where they can make our clients’ day better. We can help them to stay independent at home and to give the family peace of mind knowing they hired a great company. All of our caregivers are W2 employees; we do not hire any independent contractors. We use the “mom test” when we interview our caregivers, only hiring those who we would trust to provide care for our own parents. That is a key criteria. By hiring great caregivers and great office staff, we have made a difference in how our clients live and enjoy their days to the maximum.
It is because of these standards that our Senior Helpers is the winner of the 2013 Best of Home Care Award, a national award given by an independent company "Home Care Pulse" to home care providers who reach certain standards of excellence. What is the Virtual Dementia Tour?

Beville, a specialist in geriatrics, this valuable, easy to follow experiential tour is designed to instill hope in professional and family caregivers, providing them with a tool to move from sympathy to empathy and better understand the behaviors and needs of their loved ones and patients.
