Shannon Loranger - I serve as the Director of Operations. My role is to oversee our organization and make sure we are delivering on our mission statement - To take care of our clients by providing high quality service. I have been with Senior Helpers for 5 years and have been privileged to work with hundreds of clients and Home Care Aides in that time. I have seen firsthand how deeply families care for each other in all stages of life, but how they also struggle through the transitions. No one expects to need professional help in the home but when you do, I want you to know there is reliable help available. Our Home Care Aides are compassionate and kind people. They make a real difference in our clients’ lives and their dedication to their work inspires me.
I came to Santa Barbara through my studies at UCSB where I graduated with a BA in Business Economics and Psychology. I am proud to support our community through my involvement with the American Heart Association and Junior League of Santa Barbara.

Before Senior Helpers, I worked at as an assistant shopkeeper to a spiritual healer in Montecito, where I would help schedule her appointments and overseeing her holistic beauty products and tea shop. I am attending my last semester as SBCC where I study zoology.
In the fall I look forward to attending Cal. State Channel Islands to complete my degree.
Mike Fasth, President - I am a former Kinko's executive and founding partner who used to help college seniors print and bind great looking papers. During that part of my business career I was especially fond of helping senior adults in the very busy Kinko's stores.
After a career with Kinko's I attended Antioch University where I gained additional insights about the challenges of aging in the United States. Then, after attending Antioch I bought a local landmark bicycle store, Open Air Bicycles. There I saw many vibrant seniors in their 70s, 80s, and 90s riding bikes and staying active. That inspired me to open Senior Helpers of Santa Barbara in 2008 as I found that Senior Helpers had many of the same characteristics of Kinko's - most importantly a focus on the client.
My goal is to help clients live in their own homes, when they desire to do so. I always try to improve our service to our clients, and I keep abreast of health breakthroughs and consumer trends that will benefit our Senior Helpers’ clients and their families.
