German Village

Cross the bridge over Interstate 70 and walk into a whole other world that survives in the shadows of Columbus' tall city buildings. In German Town, you’ll find architecture so well preserved you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back into the 1800s. Most buildings were built between 1840-1890 and not one of them is higher than three stories. Along the streets, you’ll come across orange sidewalks and masonry—and at least half of the roads are still paved brick.

In terms of senior activities, it’s easy just to enjoy a stroll in the area. The neighborhood is relatively dense, so you won’t go more than a few steps without something new to take in.
