“I am writing to thank you for looking after our Uncle so well in his final illness in May of this year (2017).. I am so grateful that his wish to be in his apartment before his death was granted and enabled by your provision of 24 hour care. Your kindness and real care for him was evidenced by your choice of caregivers and by you actually baking banana bread in the kitchen the Sunday before he died. How lovely to have the scent of freshly cooked bread in the apartment. With every good wish for you and your team. ” ~ Kathy, Exeter NH

“With a pending knee replacement operation I was worried about coming home by myself after sugery. When I began looking for caregivers it was overwhelming. I had a conversation with Gayle Davis of Senior Helpers. Her conerns were about me and my situation. She came to my home to meet with me. She hand picked the Person that would be my caregiver. Stephanie was kind, considerate and wonderful. She was there for everything that I needed, even when I spiked a temp and had to be rushed to the ER. She never left my side. I am very grateful and will call on my friends at Senior Helpers if I need assistance in the future.” ~ Ellen, Kingston

“When my husband was being discharged from Portsmouth Regional Hospital, we wanted to bring him home. We knew that we could not take care of him on our own. We called Senior Helpers and they have provided the additional support that we need. They are here twice a day, 7 days a week, and are now part of the family.” ~Dottie, Rye (former RN)

Mom really enjoyed her afternoons with the company she had from your team. She really bonded with her caregiver and told me how quickly the time passed. On one of the early visits, I met up with Mom shortly after her Senior Helper caregiver left and it was the most engaged I had seen her in several weeks. Thank you for the services from Senior Helpers, it really was what I had hoped for.

“My husband is a Vietnam Veteran who needed a “buddy.” We found that “buddy” in Chip from Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast. He is caring and compassionate. My husband looks forward to their time together." ~Dee, Rochester

"My mother recently moved from one "memory care" facility on Long Island, New York to the Wentworth Senior Living "memory care" facility in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Part of this move included an overnight stay in a local hotel. With Mom being 88 and having both limited mobility and limited cognitive capabilities, this transition could have been a really big challenge for all of us. Luckily, with the help of Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast, Mom's move and transition proceeded without a hitch! We hired an aide to spend 12 hours overnight with us in the hotel to help us get Mom safely to and from the bathroom in the middle of the night and to get her safely undressed and dressed again in the morning. We then hired another overnight aide for 8 hours for each of the next 7 nights, to help the Wentworth staff as they learned Mom's personal schedule. This additional assistance helped Mom to adjust to her new surroundings more easily, it helped the Wentworth staff know that Mom was being helped as quickly as possible, and it helped my sisters and I relax a little more, knowing that Mom was in good hands all the way around. Mom has adjusted nicely to her new home and we haven't needed the help of Senior Helpers since, but I would call them in a minute if the need arose and I highly recommend them to other families in this area who are looking for professional, competent and kind care givers for their family members." Fondly, ~Mary Alice, Durham
