This whole month we have talked about the importance of learning new things, trying different activities, and mixing up your regular routines. Now we want to talk about the fun stuff! What class can you take to learn something new?
The options really are limitless, but we thought we could put together a quick list that would be hard for you and your aging loved one to resist. Check out some ideas here:
Dance Class – Who doesn’t love to dance? Check out your local arts center to see what type of dance lessons they are offering. You’ll have fun and exercise at the same time!
Language – If learning a foreign language has always been on your bucket list, then a foreign language class is the right one for you! Several libraries, community colleges, and community centers offer multiple language classes to broaden your speech!
Cooking Class – Are you the master of the kitchen? You could be! Check out local cooking classes where chefs can teach you and your elderly loved ones the secrets of the kitchen, how to meal prep, and more! Don’t want to leave the home? No problem. Cake Decorating Class – How about a sweet tooth? Many craft stores are now offering cake decorating classes where you can learn how to make frosting flowers, write with icing, and more! This new hobby will surely satisfy your sweet tooth, and you’ll be a hit at the next birthday party!
