Eating healthy can decrease your chance of diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and more. But is it possible that there are foods that can prevent memory loss?
While the National Institutes of Health has said there is insufficient evidence that food can prevent dementia, doctors believe the idea is not a lost cause. In fact, they believe there are several foods that can improve your brain, especially your memory.
These foods include:
Oil-based salad dressings which contain vitamin E that many help protect neurons or nerve cells.
Fish such as salmon, mackerel, and tuna which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are important for the normal functions of your brain’s neurons.
Dark green leafy vegetables such as kale, collard greens, spinach, and broccoli which are all good sources of vitamin E.
Avocados are also very rich in vitamin E as well as vitamin C.
