Hobbies are great! They keep you busy, they help you meet new people, and they give you something to look forward to. If you don’t already have a hobby, you should definitely find one!
What type of new hobbies or activities should you try?
The options really are limitless, but we thought we could put together a quick list that would be hard for you and your aging loved one to resist. Check out some ideas here:
Bowling League – Who doesn’t love bowling? Call your local bowling alley and find out how you can join a league. Some even have leagues just for seniors! If the balls are too heavy, try a local community center to see if they have Wii bowling tournaments!
Pottery Class – Artistic side? Try a pottery class! You can make your own or you can paint your own. Not only will your creative side get a work out, but you can also give your hand made masterpieces out as gifts to lucky loved ones!
Cooking Class – Are you the master of the kitchen? You could be! Check out local cooking classes where chefs can teach you and your elderly loved ones the secrets of the kitchen, how to meal prep, and more! Don’t want to leave the home? No problem. Companies like Blue Apron will mail you fresh ingredients and recipes that you can make in the comfort of your own kitchen!
The options don’t end here. Singing, dancing, photography, knitting, scrapbooking…we could go on!
