The holiday season is officially here, and we bet there are still a few items left on your to-do list! While this time of the year is a joyful one, holidays can be a stressful. This is especially true if you are also taking care of your aging loved one.

Take control this year by following these tips on preparing for the holidays:

Make a list (and check it twice) – Similar to Santa, a list can be very helpful during demanding times. Write down what you need to do and when each action item needs to be completed. This will help you stay organized and on top of your busy schedule!

Take a deep breath – Remember to take small breaks! Running around will only make you more tired and more stressed. It’s always important to take time to yourself and let your mind and body relax – even if it’s only for 20 minutes.

Ask for help – You can always ask for help! No one can do everything on their own, so there is no shame in asking for a helping hand!

Don’t let the stress of the holidays take over the joy of spending time with your family and friends!
