It’s that spooky time of year again and Senior Helpers would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween!

Halloween may be a fun holiday for some, but it can also be scary in a real sense for some seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia. And similarly, elderly individuals living alone or with physical limitations may feel vulnerable during this time of year.

At Senior Helpers, our caregivers can help make sure your loved one feels safe this holiday weekend. Our Halloween Helpers can:

  • Answer the door and pass out candy
  • Keep guests and trick-or-treaters outside
  • Provide company for your loved one

For seniors with dementia, the stimulation from the doorbells from trick-or-treaters on Halloween night can cause confusion and anger. It is important to make sure that someone is there to give assistance and reassurance.
