The Provider of Choice Award is granted only to the top-ranking home care providers, based on client satisfaction scores gathered by Home Care Pulse, an independent satisfaction research firm for home care.

Valentine’s Day may be over, but American Heart Month certainly is not! In our last blog post, we discussed healthy habits and useful tips for staying fit, well, and safe. No matter how many precautions are taken, however, there is always a chance that one may fall victim to illness or injury. We made it! With the first month of 2015 officially under our belts, it’s time to celebrate and give thanks to our hearts. Valentine’s Day aside, February is known for American Heart Month, a chance to educate ourselves about potential risks and brush up on useful safety tips.

Madison Memory Loss Workshop

This past week, we at Senior Helpers were given the opportunity to offer a Memory Loss workshop at the South Ward Senior Citizen Center (SWCC) in Newark. It was sponsored by Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and presented by Christina Candido, our Director of Community Relations, to an audience of nearly 40 local seniors! They spent over an hour discussing memory loss prevention, reminiscing together, and learning from each other.

2015 Resolution: A Positive Approach

Is it just us or did 2014 fly by? The New Year provides us with not only a day off from work (if we’re lucky!), but the chance to start fresh. We are driven to reflect on the past 12 months, encouraged to regroup, and inspired to embrace what lies ahead. Out with the old, in with the new, right?
