Medication Management

Senior Helpers of Eastern Idaho now offers Medication Management, the only Home Care agency in the area to offer this important service. According to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, more than a third of medication-related hospitalizations are due to patients not taking their medicine as prescribed.

It’s important that as people age that they prioritize their daily medication schedule. Improper use of medications can cause side effects, increased risk for falls, readmissions to the hospital, accidentally missed or doubling doses.

Our Medication Management Services Include:

• Assisting in developing medication schedule
• Reviewing medication regimen
• Creating a complete list of all prescribed and over-the-counter medicines the patient is taking
• Educating patient and/or caregiver on proper dosage, frequency and side effects
• Evaluating response to medications and effectiveness
• Communicating with patient's doctor for optimum outcome
