Barbara Roden started her first Senior Helpers office in 2007, based in Farmington and serving West Bloomfield, Livonia, New Hudson, Novi and Commerce and throughout Oakland County. In 2011 she opened an office in Grosse Pointe to serve Rochester, Warren, Troy, St. Claire Shores, Clinton Township and throughout Southern Macomb and Wayne Counties. Barbara is an active member of her community and takes pride in serving on the Alzheimer's Association Board of Directors. She is a member of the Michigan Home Health Association, past President of the Junior League Sustainers of Ann Arbor and is a past official of the Senior Helpers' Owners Council.

For twenty years prior to her work in senior care, Barbara held various sales and management positions in both retail and corporate automotive environments. These positions prepared her for running her own business. Senior Helpers blends her passion for helping seniors with her prior business expertise. Both Barbara's father and great aunt suffered with Alzheimer's. So choosing the care-giving industry was a natural choice for her. She knows the stress and burden, both emotionally and financially, that caring for a loved one can put on a family. She loves helping seniors, is passionate about her business, and is trusted by her clients and their families.
