Our office has been serving the needs of seniors and their families in Westmoreland and Eastern Allegheny county since 2007 and is located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. We remain committed to delivering the highest quality of services which enable seniors to maintain their independence and quality of life and allow them to live where they choose to call home.
The Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce recognized Senior Helpers as Business of the Year at their Annual Meeting October 8, 2015 at the Fred Rogers Center at Saint Vincent’s College. Each year the chamber accepts nominations from the community for Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year. The nominated businesses are then scored by a panel of 15 judges comprised of Chamber members and business leaders. Approximately 260 attended this year’s sold-out event.

Senior Helpers is also the recipient of a 2015 Best of Home Care Provider of Choice award by Home Care Pulse, a leading independent third party quality assurance firm for home care. The award is based on client satisfactions scores from several categories including, compassion, work ethic, communication and training.
The office is locally owned and operated by Tom and Carol Trent. Carol is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and holds a master’s degree in exercise science with a specialty in geriatric wellness. Tom has a degree in marketing and public relations. They bring a diverse skill set and a common passion for helping others. They are very active in the local senior care community by contributing to events that benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, Twilight Wish, The Southwestern PA Partnership on Aging and other reputable organizations. Each year, Carol organizes a community wide Wii Bowling Tournament for seniors in various senior living settings that encourages seniors to remain active by participating in ability-appropriate sports.
Both Tom and Carol work full-time in the business, and they dedicate a significant amount of time building personal relationships with their clients and their families. Their goal is to treat every client as if they are members of their own family.
At Senior Helpers, clients and their families have 24/7 access to a dedicated team of professionals who are fully committed to exceeding expectations. The outstanding office team prides itself in setting very high standards for care and delivering on all promises in a timely and respectable manner. Our Client Services Team provides on-going supervision and oversight of the caregivers to ensure our clients’ needs are being met and expectations are exceeded.
Senior Helpers employs a talented team of professional caregivers to assist our clients. All caregivers are experienced in providing senior care, pass a rigorous screening process, and are bonded and fully insured with liability and Worker’s Compensation insurance. They also receive initial and on-going training to ensure their skills are up to date. Many of our caregivers are also Certified Nurse Aides. Senior Helpers takes great pride in matching the skills and personalities of the caregivers with the unique needs of our clients. All Senior Helpers caregivers are direct employees of the company and NOT independent contractors.
