Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and accessible in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.
The first office opened in Baltimore, Maryland, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand. Over the past 13 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.
Senior Helpers of LaGrange was proud to join the system in 2021. Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and accessible in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community. We are lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families

Meet the LaGrange Team
After spending 25 years improving business practices for some of the most well-known US corporations, Lloyd decided to focus his skills on helping people. Having been blessed to witness independent grandparents live happy and active lives into their 90’s and 100’s, he knows how easily people can chose their own lifestyle with minor assistance from home care services. His family has experienced the challenges of elder care, Alzheimer’s care, and Dementia care. Senior Helpers provided the best-in-class tools and research for families in similar situations while also providing urban training to rural GA. This opportunity improves the lives of his team while also providing services to clients. Lloyd’s team is setting a new standard for home care in south GA. It is senior care, only better.
Having been a family caregiver, Niki, has seen the joys, challenges, and stress that often comes with the journey of aging with dignity. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology/sociology and professional counseling experience, she has a strong understanding of the qualities necessary to build client/patient relationships and developing plans that improvequality of life. She has seen first-hand how important the relationship between client and caregiver is when providing home care for the elderly. Niki has also experienced the relief of true respite care when there is trust in the caregivers. Her experience allows her to match caregivers that are best suited for our clients based on personality, common interests, and needs. She puts herself in the shoes of the client and aligns caregivers that she would feel comfortable taking care of her family.
