Meet the Staff at Senior Helpers of the Fox Cities:

Senior Helpers of the Fox Cities is owned and operated by Nancy and Gene Bortolameolli. Nancy and Gene opened their Senior Helpers office in Appleton, WI in March of 2010 where they have resided for almost 30 years.


Nancy Bortolameolli
(Owner and President)


Gene Bortolameolli
(Owner and Executive Director)

Nancy obtains professional expertise in health, social and financial issues that affect seniors' quality of life. She serves as a resource for seniors by pinpointing relevant information to assist and refer seniors and their families to organizations and resources that will meet their needs.

On top of running the day-to-day operations of Senior Helpers, Nancy conducts trainings for the caregivers, attends senior events, provides educational workshops and presentations on our Senior Gems™ program, serves as an ambassador for many organizations.

Gene runs the financial operations of Senior Helpers. Gene has a strong business background in customer service and management. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and Keller Graduate School of Management. Gene enjoys running, officiating football and spending time with his family.


Bobbie Thompson
Business Development Director

Bobbie has been a leader in independent living, Homecare, assisted living, advanced memory care, and traditional hospital-based services for 30 years. Bobbie loves enhancing the lives of older adults (and their families) by connecting them with supportive resources.

She and her husband, Keith, live west of Appleton with their two cats. Bobbie’s hobbies are food, fun, family and friends. Event planning, photography and travel are some of Bobbie’s favorite pastimes.


Amy Zimmerman
(Caregiver Manager)

Amyis originally from California, but a Yooper at heart. She comes from a large family of 10. Amy graduated from Manistique High School in 2004.

Her health care experience began early in high school when she started exploring the field at age 16.

Amy is a great people person and has a passion for care. She learned to love all aspects of the senior care when s/he started taking care of her grandfather in his final stages of dementia.

When Amy is not working, she enjoys hunting and fishing.


Becky Tweedale
(Scheduling Coordinator/Office Administrator)

Becky grew up in Milwaukee, WI with her 5 siblings. After high school, she received her degree in Human Services at MATC. Becky moved to Appleton, WI 3 years ago to be closer to her 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

Becky has a variety of experiences in the health care field from CNA to office management.

Becky is very bubbly, friendly, and loves working with people. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with friends and family and she loves the Packers!


Jaena Bortolameolli
(Social Media Manager)


Drake Bortolameolli
(Office and Lawn Care Services)

Jaena is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an educational background in healthcare and work experience as a caregiver for many years.

Jaena has helped grow and develop Senior Helper’s business by educating and marketing to the local community, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, hospice agencies and other senior care resources about our in-home care services.

She currently manages Senior Helper’s social media and online presence.

Drake graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree from St. Cloud State University.

Drake completed his Master’s Thesis on the relationship between urban economic development and theft or robbery hotspots.

He was also a member of St. Cloud State Men’s Lacrosse team that competes against other colleges from across the nation.

Since Senior Helpers opened in the Fox Cities Drake has helped with the business in the office with paper work tasks and fill in as a caregiver when needed. He also performed lawn care services and maintenance for clients who were unable to do the work themselves.
