Senior Helpers of the Fox Cities is owned and operated by Nancy and Gene Bortolameolli. Nancy and Gene opened their Senior Helpers office in Appleton, WI in March of 2010 where they have resided for almost 30 years.

Nancy obtains professional expertise in health, social and financial issues that affect seniors' quality of life. She serves as a resource for seniors by pinpointing relevant information to assist and refer seniors and their families to organizations and resources that will meet their needs.
On top of running the day-to-day operations of Senior Helpers, Nancy conducts trainings for the caregivers, attends senior events, provides educational workshops and presentations on our Senior Gems™ program, serves as an ambassador for many organizations.

Gene runs the financial operations of Senior Helpers. Gene has a strong business background in customer service and management. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and Keller Graduate School of Management. Gene enjoys running, officiating football and spending time with his family.
Jaena is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Bachelor of Science). She has a strong passion for health and wellness and for helping others. With her educational background and work experience as a caregiver for several years, Jaena currently educates and markets to the local community, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, hospice agencies and other senior care resources about our in-home care services. She continuously develops and nurtures relationships with our clients and partners with health care organizations throughout the area.

Drake graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree, and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from St. Cloud State University, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He is currently working towards completing his Master’s Thesis on the relationship between urban economic development and theft or robbery hotspots. Drake is also a member of St. Cloud State Men’s Lacrosse team that competes against other colleges from across the nation.
Since Senior Helpers opened in the Fox Cities Drake has helped in the office with paper work tasks and would occasionally fill in as a caregiver when needed. He also performed lawn care services and maintenance for several clients who were unable to do the work themselves.
Amy is originally from California, but a Yooper at heart. She comes from a large family of 10. Amy graduated from Manistique High School in 2004.
Her health care experience began early in high school when she started exploring the field at age 16. Amy is a great people person and has a passion for care. She learned to love all aspects of the senior care when she started taking care of her grandfather in his final stages of dementia.
When Amy is not working, she enjoys hunting and fishing.
Mindy is the Caregiver Manager at Senior Helpers of the Fox Cities. She brings us 20 years of experience in the healthcare field with a focus on the senior population. Mindy decided to dedicate her life to the senior population after her grandfather had surgery and needed help. “My grandparents were very important to me. They taught me family was everything.”
Mindy enjoys the outdoors, whether it is camping or swimming at the beach with her three children or going for nature walks with her two dogs. She also enjoys baking cakes and being creative.
Melissa moved to WI from Maryland in September of 2013 with her son, who is now a senior in high school.
Melissa has worked in home health care for 18 years. Before that she was a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the state of Maryland and also worked in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living homes as a Med Tech.
For fun, Melissa loves to spend time with her family, read and attend fairs and festivals.
