Welcome to Senior Helpers of Fairfield, Connecticut! We are very excited to be joining the Upper Fairfield County and New Haven County area and providing compassionate, professional caregivers to seniors in the community.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our clients by providing compassionate, professional caregivers so they can maintain their independence at home as long as possible. We offer companion, personal, and live-in care, but our signature program is Senior Gems® Alzheimer’s and Dementia care program. As the gold standard for excellence in personalized in-home senior care, the program was developed in conjunction with nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
We were drawn to Senior Helpers by the quality services it offers, and the potential to be a part of a company that is known as the first in the industry to provide specialized caregiver training in Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and now, Parkinson’s disease care. Our team is proud to provide a valuable resource to our community by helping to alleviate the stress associated with being a family caregiver and ensure a better quality of life for families through personalized in-home care.
Please allow us to introduce you to our Senior Helpers family.
I am the co-owner and president of daily operations at Senior Helpers of Fairfield, CT. I am a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics, while also playing on the Division I Women’s Soccer team. Following graduation, I worked for 11 years in Operations at Morgan Stanley as a global risk manager. I took 3 years out of the work force to spend time at home with my 4 children, Grace who is 10, Penny who is 8, and twin boys James and Connor, who are 3. After a fulfilling 3 years, I realized I wanted to work in a field that would blend my experience within operations and as a caregiver. This business is truly personal to us, as both my husband and I watch our own parents grow older and struggle with maintaining their independence and enjoying their senior years. We are passionate about this business and are dedicated to improving and enriching the quality of life for every client who entrusts us with their care. We consider our caregivers to be part of our Senior Helpers family, and we hope you will too!
I am the co-owner and strategic business director at Senior Helpers of Fairfield, CT. I started my career working in London within the financial sector, before moving to the US in late 2001. I have worked within a number of different departments in the global financial markets, both managing large global teams and working on strategic business initiatives. My family is immensely important to me and when not working, I love to coach my daughters’ soccer teams and work in the garden with my twin boys. We are looking forward to growing this business within the greater Fairfield community and making a difference in the lives of families who truly need our support.
Senior Helpers of Upper Fairfield participated in the Summer Market on the Green sponsored by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce on Sunday June 11. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce ourselves to the community. We had the chance to speak to many people who had concerns about loved ones and the options for their care. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!
Santa is arriving and visiting Fairfield on November 25th! Santa Claus, played by Joe Skarupa, a perennial Santa-About-Town, will arrive by hook-and-ladder down Reef Road at 10 AM. He will sit in the beautifully decorated gazebo on Sherman Green until approximately 2:00PM to listen to the wide-eyed wishes of children. Santa's elves will give each child an adorable, small holiday gift item sponsored by Senior Helpers.
