This Award is Presented by a National Magazine Focusing on Families and Professional Caregivers
Being a caregiver is an extremely challenging job. It is one of the most difficult jobs you could face in your lifetime.
“We understand that family caregivers face emotional, physical and financial hardships, and we aim to relieve at least some of the burden associated with caring for an elderly loved one,” said Bob Tucker, a qualified dementia care provider (QDCP) and co-owner of Northbrook-based Senior Helpers serving the north and northwest suburbs to the Wisconsin border. “It is an honor to be recognized for something we at Senior Helpers are so passionate about.”
Founded in 2001, Senior Helpers’ goal is to help seniors who wish to remain in their homes despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges.
“I am proud to be part of the Senior Helpers family because we differentiate ourselves with proprietary, specialized programs that have been developed in collaboration with leading medical experts,” said Abbie Tucker, senior advocate and client services director, certified senior advisor (CSA) and a qualified dementia care provider (QDCP). “Our company offers specialized care services for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s , and we are the only home care company with a Parkinson’s Care Program.”
Gary Berg, Today’s Caregiver magazine’s Editor-in-Chief points out that the award is designed “to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones.”
If you are concerned about a loved one, Senior Helpers, as the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Cares Affiliate office for Chicagoland, has established an Alzheimer’s/Dementia/Parkinson’s Care Resource Center for the community with materials-books, articles, magazines and DVDs that can be checked out free of charge.
Senior Helpers also provides trained professional caregivers from one hour per week to 24/7 live-in when needed.
